Biographie
Née à Montréal en 1959, mais grandi et fait mes études à Thetford-Mines et Victoriaville.
Le dessin, le bricolage et le coloriage ont toujours fait partie de mon enfance. Ce fut un passe-temps de prédilection pour échapper aux journées grises. Le papier et les crayons pouvaient susciter chez moi beaucoup d'émerveillement et distraire pendant des heures. L'esthétique et la beauté font partie de mon vocabulaire depuis mon très jeune âge. Ainsi, s'inscrit tout naturellement l'art visuel dans ma vie. Débordante de créativité, je participe très tôt aux concours de dessin et reçois plusieurs prix pendant mes études en esthétique.
En 1980, je découvre l'encre et j'approfondis la technique d'aquagraphie avec madame Lorraine Bellerose. Ensuite, vint des cours d'aquarelle avec le peintre conteur Fernand Auger. Disparue de la scène artistique depuis 1985, quand tout à coup l'éveil et le désir m'invitent à retourner à cette passion. Mon sujet favori; la nature et je la voulais mienne!
Je suis avant tout autodidacte pour parfaire différentes techniques. Je prône l'art minimaliste contemporain et me concentre sur la réduction du geste afin que mon sujet et ma pensée soit le plus objectif possible et créant ainsi un visuel confortable et reposant. Par le biais de mon discours artistique j'offre une réflexion parallèle entre la nature picturale simpliste et la pensée humaine.

Démarche artistique
Peintre avant tout autodidacte, je considère l'acrylique et l'encre comme un jeu perpétuel entre le pinceau, la couleur et le graphisme. Je prône l'art contemporain minimaliste et mon point de départ est un fond blanc que je peins auquel une mise en scène fantaisiste prend forme. Avec l'acrylique fluide, je joue sur la transparence participant ainsi à l'unicité de mon style.
Peindre la nature est le fruit d'un cheminement intérieur conjugué avec le présent car les arbres m'inspirent et me parlent d'authenticité. Mes espaces blancs jouent sur la lignée ponctuée d'un graphisme pixelisé complémentaire à la sobriété chromatique. Le paysage minimaliste m'interpelle laissant l'image la plus objective et la plus honnête possible. L'économie du geste évoque chez moi une grande liberté. Quand l'essentiel est là, nul besoin d'en rajouter ! "Moins c'est plus!" Chaque œuvre offre au spectateur une délicate poésie visuelle.
Mes arbres sont semi-figuratifs car je veux aborder mon sujet dans une veine plus abstraite. Pour moi s'exprimer en croquant l'originalité m'apporte un grand bonheur. La nature et ses imperfections font état d'une charge spirituelle et d'un symbole fort, car même un arbre noir , un arbre incliné nous montre qu'il y a toujours quelque chose de beau à accueillir dans la différence.
Biography
Born in Montreal in 1959, but I grew up and studied in Thetford-Mines and Victoriaville.
Drawing, crafting and coloring have always been a part of my childhood. It was a hobby of predilection to escape the grayer days. Paper and pencils sparked a lot of wonder and amazement and could distract me for hours. Esthetics and beauty have been parts of my personality and my vocabulary since a very young age. Thus, visual art fits naturally into my life. Brimful of creativity, I participated very early on in drawing competitions, and received many awards during my studies.
In 1980, I discovered ink and explored the aquagraphy technique with Ms. Lorraine Bellerose. Then came watercolor lessons with the painter-storyteller Fernand Auger. I am above alI self-taught to perfect different techniques.
Still today, I choose acrylics and ink for the subtlety and fluidity of the nuances. After disappearing from the artistic scene since 1985, suddenly an awakening and a desire invited me to return to this passion.
My favorite subject, this beautiful nature that speaks to me and I wanted to make mine. From a blank canvas, I splash the colours. Then, with ink I bring this touch of lightness and freshness to my pictoral represensations due to my refined and contemporary style. The universality of the subject brings a natural connection with humans. Through my creations, I send a message because, even in the imperfections of nature, there is always something beautiful to welcome.
Artistic Approach
Above all self-thaught painter, I consider acrylic and ink as a perpetual game between brush, shapes, black lines and color. Drawing my inspiration from nature, painting is the fruit of an inner journey combined with the present. For me, the starting point is a white canvas which is a staging of life where realism and dreams coexist. To create a place of beauty whose trees inspire and speak to me!
My timeless white spaces, play on the lineage and the pixelated graphics by the simplification of my subject. The minimalist and refined landscapes appeal to me. When the essentials are there, there is no need to add more! Each work of art offers an indefinite place taking shape between whiteness and colors. I reinterpret the landscape in a very contemporary way, and it has a unique, very innovating style.
For me, expressing myself by sketching originally and authentically brings me great joy. From my work of arts emenate a visual communication contemplative that plunges us in the heart of ourselves. The nature and its imperfections refer to a symbolism that even a black tree, an inclined tree leads us to take a fresh look a the difference.
